Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Kingfisher Motorsport (Ireland) Limited
1. Introduction
Kingfisher Motorsport (Ireland) Limited (“the Company”) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across all aspects of its operations and supply chain. While there is currently no statutory obligation under Irish law to publish a modern slavery statement, we voluntarily uphold best practice standards in line with our group values, European human rights principles, and ethical business conduct.
As a regulated insurance intermediary authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), our firm promotes transparency, fairness, and respect for human rights in all business dealings across Ireland and the wider European Economic Area (EEA).
2. Structure and Supply Chains
Kingfisher Motorsport (Ireland) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary within the Kingfisher Group, which is part of NSM Insurance Group, a US-based niche insurance organisation. Our Irish operations are focused on specialist motorsport insurance solutions for clients based in Ireland and throughout Europe.
We do not produce goods or maintain complex global supply chains. Our suppliers primarily consist of professional and regulated service providers based within Ireland, the UK, and EU member states. These include insurance carriers, IT providers, legal and compliance consultants, and corporate service vendors.
3. Organisational Commitment
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking. We are committed to upholding fundamental rights at work and ensuring that no form of exploitation occurs within our organisation or supply chain.
This commitment reflects not only our values but our obligations under relevant Irish and European laws, including the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, and applicable provisions under Irish employment legislation and CBI governance standards.
4. Governance and Policy Framework
To uphold our standards and obligations, Kingfisher Motorsport (Ireland) Limited maintains the following internal governance and control arrangements:
- Whistleblowing Policy – Empowering staff to raise concerns about unethical or unlawful practices in confidence.
- Conflicts of Interest Policy – Promoting transparency in all business decisions.
- Supplier Vetting Protocols – Assessing supplier ethical standards, location risk, and adherence to human rights principles.
- Code of Conduct – Applicable to all employees and senior management across Irish and European operations.
5. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
While the inherent risk of modern slavery in our sector is low, we assess third-party arrangements and outsourcing to ensure that suppliers align with our values. Key areas of focus include:
- Country of operation (Ireland, UK, EEA – all considered low risk).
- Nature of services (professional and regulated vs. physical labour or supply chain roles).
- Contractual controls and monitoring, particularly for outsourced support functions.
6. Training and Awareness
All employees of Kingfisher Motorsport (Ireland) Limited are trained on ethical business conduct and compliance obligations. Training includes awareness of:
- The risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Reporting channels for whistleblowing or suspected misconduct.
- Expectations when onboarding and engaging suppliers.
7. Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
To ensure this commitment remains embedded, we will monitor the following metrics:
- Training completion rates across Irish operations.
- Whistleblowing activity and internal investigations relating to conduct or third-party concerns.
- Supplier reviews and contractual clauses addressing ethical standards.
We are committed to continuously improving our risk management and governance processes in line with evolving regulatory and ethical standards across Europe.
